Observing the NGADM from a distance

Posted by Troisnyx - August 11th, 2013

It fills me with joy and pain all at once to see what Round 1 has brought. There were some people whom I had hoped to see sail through Round 1, and they did it. However, when people like PeterSatera and RealFaction have been bested in Round 1, you know that it's quite the different ball game.

As far as how well the people from Versilian are doing: only Samulis has made it. He's collaborating with Bosa and they are known as the Bardic Kings, for those of you who didn't get the memo. SkyeWintrest and Nimble have been knocked out...

It is fascinating, watching the ADM as an observer for a change, instead of taking part. Now granted, circumstances have led me not to take part, but I still take interest in it, because between now and next year, who knows what everyone will bring? Who knows what even I could bring to the table (considering I would like to take part in the 2014 ADM)?

Still, while there are people who work tirelessly to calculate, gather statistics and gather the pieces together, I watch this from the point of view of a mere musician. After observing the events of the ADM, all the way through to the end, I would like to plant seeds for next year's pieces. Just mere seeds, nothing more -- so that when the time comes, they may grow and hopefully blossom into beautiful flowers.
