People do indeed do like audio gear follows and some do pick up commissions from there, as I've come to discover. The 33 followers you got from that gear post could well be legitimate interest ?
I don't doubt a number of my VGM composer friends who aren't on Newgrounds, but who are my mutuals on IG, would be *VERY* inclined to follow you if you ever decide to post regularly.
