Merry Christmas and may God bless you.; I am happy that you had a good Christmas.

And we're only scratching the surface with how long Christmastide is meant to last! Happy Christmas, mate! ^_^

Belated Christmas wishes and seasonal cheer, etcetera etcetera. I trust Christmas in Preston was magnificent this year, full of joyfulness and excitement (judging by the length of this post, anyhow.)

I have a Raspberry Pi too, it was an essential item for the university course I'm on. I must say, a credit card-sized computer is a remarkable tool.

Have you tried C++? Microsoft Visual Basic is free to download and I'd say that's a good foundation for game programmers. At least, I thought so. I read a couple of books titled 'Beginning C++ Through Game Programming' and 'Jumping into C++' and they were a tremendous help.

I hope Project Chaplaincy takes off some day. The soundtrack you composed was really promising and Reveris in particular was a sparkling gemstone of music.

Well, I should let you enjoy your presents and everything. Ignore the ridicule you may have received in the past: I myself feel quite inferior in comparison to the programming experts that I'm surrounded by at uni. I suppose it's just a matter of practice.

If I may say it: I think I noticed a change in your accent on that bodhrán video you did. It might be the way you say the word 'strobe' after Seán talks about the epileptic strobe effect on your camera.

Well, I must be going. Bedtime beckons at 3:33am. Keep up the music and everything, my friend, and have a wonderful New Year too.

Christmas has been exciting, indeed. So far, so good. And it's not quite over yet! ^_^

I have tried C, not C++. I actually have an old book on C, but I'm not particularly sure where to begin. As for coding on the Pi proper, I'm leaning towards Python, though I know one thing: the theory behind bullet hell patterns is that it's all got to do with maths. Specifically, function equations. I'm not sure where they come into the coding, arg... At any rate, I hope Project Chaplaincy takes off with all that; I've restarted on drawing assets &c, and I hope they turn out okay.

My accent has actually thickened a bit more since that video, and I have been caught saying things that are very Lancashire. ^_- I'm starting to fit better Oop North, it seems.

Have a wonderful New Year too, when it comes!

Merry belated Christmas! I was without internet so I couldn't say it on time. >.< Sorries!

Also OMG THAT HARP!!! :O
So awesome!

Eh thanks ^_^ Happy Christmas to you too -- technically, it's not 'belated', because up till the Epiphany (which usually falls on 6 January), it still counts as Christmastide.

And as for that harp... I find it awesome too. Still trying to get the hang of tuning &c, but it'll come in due course.

Thanks a lot for your writeup on the NGASS. The event truly does mean a lot to me and I'm happy for any feedback, and yours is both flattering and fair. As you are well aware of, I can adjust the event planning in whatever way and fortify its weak points - and next year I'll definitely being using some new tricks to do so - but, at the end of the day, the Secret Santa is only as successful as the combined goodwill of 50+ anonymous internet people. Which is scary, because no amount of tweaking and surveying can fix people's attitudes.

So next year the turnout will be greater, the organization will be tighter, and the stakes will be higher. I hope to see you then!

I've read about the Raspberry Pi before. It seems like quite a fun and versatile little thing. Were I still heavily into computer programming (and lightly into hardware) I would probably own one right now. Enjoy it!

Also, that harp is beautiful. I've had the pleasure of playing a harp once. It was one of the most wonderful days of my life. :D Have you listened to Jordi and Merry's track "Path of Fate"? https://soundcloud.com/forest-elves/forest-elves-path-of-fate

I HAVE indeed listened to Path of Fate. ^_^ @etherealwinds and @Merryberry did an absolutely wonderful job with it. How did you find the harp you played, by the way -- and how did you come across it? I am curious.

As for the Pi, we've had to put it on hold for the time being because the room that we use it in is being redecorated. It can't hook to laptop screens, and relies on HDMI for output on a screen -- and the telly is in this unfinished room. Well, we've got to wait -- but I really look forward to what can be produced on it.

While I was on a six month internship, I lived near to a traditional musical instrument shop that I had heard about years prior. I visited the shop - they had all sorts of musical instruments that you could just pick up and play. :) I spent most of my time in the harp room, plucking around on the only harp that was in tune. :P
