Hi there! I'm a female vocalist centering more on orchestral/operatic sounds, but I can also do various styles depending. Can do English, Italian, French and German comfortably as well. Would you be able to add me to the list? Thank you! :)

Samples:

I will do. Thank you very much for coming forward! <3

I have Vocaloids, but I haven't used them much because I don't know Japanese. Would like to be added to the list :)

Some cringe-worthy samples:

Great list, btw. Definitely bookmarked for future reference :D

Is it possible to inlcude any prices that people ask? They're not always visible on their respective profiles.

I would, but the trouble with this sort of thing is that if I include @Gragon73's idea of skill levels, and your idea of prices (which are amazing ideas by the way) -- it'll get messy.

What I would really appreciate is that, in future, if the Staff decides to include an "Insert Table" function for posts like these, I would add all these ideas in, and they'll be displayed in one neat little list.

Another thing I'd thought of was the idea of displaying whether people *would* take on pro bono projects, whether or not they have rates ordinarily. Some of us (as a matter of conscience) would or would not. And I think such a thing would be helpful to people looking into collaborating with us.

@liljim Any chance of the Newspost Editor having a table function?

Not under this design, but possibly in future.

yoo trois, put me down for brasses please :)

Which in particular? (Or all of them?)

I'll throw my name in the hat for drum kit :)

I will update it with pleasure. Thanks for letting me know!

Trumpet. sorry about not specifying I thought you knew ;o

This is a pretty nifty idea.

I suppose technically I play piano and play(ed) guitar -- but I compose music across a number of different genres (primarily orchestral, hybrid, ambient, and electronic) using sample libraries and my midi controller, so I guess 'plugins and VSTi' is the category I'd fall under. I also mix and master all of my own stuff, and I like to think myself decently competent.

The 'plugins and VSTi' category is for people who make their own sample libraries and either sell or distribute them, by the way.

So would be okay for me to put them under piano, guitar (which?) and mixing / mastering?

Oh, okay - I assumed that the plugins category was for users who composed primarily with the use of software. For the sake of clarification; are users who are listed in other categories limited to those who have hands-on experience with the actual instruments therein, or do these categories also extend to those whose compositions incorporate these instruments in the form of samples?

Because if that's the case, then (perhaps somewhat ironically) the only categories I would actually hesitate to list myself under would be either option for guitar, as I don't currently own any dedicated guitar libraries outside of a few freebies and what came included with Komplete 10.

I'm not sure if the vocals category extends to the use of vocal sample libraries, but I own -- and quite often use -- libraries such as Shevannai, Soundiron's "Strawberry", Realivox BLUE (which I would also personally consider a vocaloid in terms of its usage -- I also have a bit of experience with Plogue's 'Alter/Ego' vocaloid VST), Zero G's "Ethera", and so on and so forth.

I have a number of piano, organ, and keyboard libraries at my disposal.

I have plenty of percussion libraries as well, ranging from heavy-hitting orchestral ensembles to contemporary drum kits, vintage kits, experimental kits, and so on.

As far as brass is concerned, I've got Session Horns, and I'm sure there's a few others I'm forgetting. For orchestral scoring, I don't have a strong core brass library at present, but I rely on libraries like Albion One for (mostly supplemental) large brass ensembles. I also own Embertone's excellent Chapman Trumpet.

I own a number of small wind/flute instruments from various sources (quite a few from Embertone, like the Jubal flute, Ivory Wind, Shire Whistle, etc.), and I really like the woodwind sections from Albion One.

For strings, I use Cinematic Strings as my primary ensemble library, though there's also Albion One's selection of strings. For solo strings, I own the Tina Guo acoustic cello library by Cinesamples, The Signor Paganini Solo Violin, the free version of Embertone's Friedlander Violin, Solo Viola Lite by Northern Scoring Tools, etc. Outside of the orchestral realm I've got too many samples of various stringed instruments to list.

Whew! Tried to keep it brief but...well...I failed, haha. Anyway, hope that helps put me in the right categories!

Hands-on, in the case of live recordings. You do bring up an idea though, if people are willing to fill in with the VSTs they own, then it'd warrant its own category. I'll add it on, and see how it goes.

That's understandable! In that case, I guess just listing me under 'mixing and mastering' might be the most appropriate course of action for the time being.

As for the new category, I'd be happy to be listed in whatever form you deem reasonable.

Thanks!

Anytime~ I'll do my best.

I can throw in some acoustic guitar, electric guitar/pedal effects, bass, I try to program complex drums, bass, keys/synth (not to good at this one yet though), and I mix and produce all the time and would love some stuff to practice with/help out with...

Alright. I'll put you in for the recording / mixing for now. Right now, I still need to figure out how to handle the programming / VST usage section...

I know I'm not amazing, but I'd love to be added for piano! Thanks for considering!

You play piano as well? Cool!

Hey, thanks for adding me!

Anytime. : )

Wow, this is a damn good idea!
Put me up for bass guitar. I can send you credentials if you need 'em. :)

i'd suggest adding TSRBand to bass as he is Ultramartyr's bassist, and MetalRenard to mastering cause he's pretty damned good.

I will do when I get to my laptop. Cheers!

Ay im looking for a rapper for a track im working on
do you have those?

Not yet. No one has come forward. I wouldn't mind putting two names down in this post to begin with, namely @Teqneek and @TheDukeOfJuke, but I don't know anyone else, I'm afraid.

@dem0lecule would you happen to know any others?

Whatsup NG community! First off @troisnyx Thanks for this. I am an experienced guitarist, also play keyboard, and ukulele. You can sign me up for all of these.
List:
(guitar) acoustic and electric
(ukulele)
(keyboard) mostly for beats and effects

This is a fantastic post. With that, I'll drop my hat in the ring. Mixing and mastering, trombone. If I get better equipment, I'll be able to throw in acoustic guitar and English/German singing.

Should I mark the last two, or hold off for now?

You can probably safely mark vocals. I'm usually able to EQ most of the "cheapness" out of the stuff I record. Guitar, that's gonna need some more work. At present, I can't record and monitor input at the same time because my computer only has one jack LOL

Cheers, thanks for letting me know!

No, thank you. This list is awesome! Now, if we could just spread it around some more.
