NG Meet: London 2013 + Dreams of Splendour Contest

Posted by Troisnyx - January 5th, 2013

The NG London Meet schedule is out, and it's from 18-19 January.

Considering I'm on a student budget and need to live, I won't be able to attend two straight days. I can, however, make provisions for one. Friday's a no-no for me because of uni work, by and large. So I will try and make it on Saturday 19 January.

I'll ask Merlyne if he'd like to come too -- we both live in Hatfield, an area which isn't particularly far from London but transport can be quite....... costly. And by transport, I mean day pass.

Just wondering, are any of you going to make the London meet?

In addition to this, I am going to participate in the Dreams of Splendour contest, Bosa's contest. I wasn't able to make it for Quest for the Crown because of the inadequacy of my work and my other commitments, but I certainly want to write for this, because I have a real-life situation that I can tie this with. Inspiration has been indeed given from above.

The full title of the song is confirmed: Letters from the Journey to Stonyhurst, but because of NG's character limits, I'll probably have to shorten the title. To give you a brief hint about the subject matter of this song, it is a musical setting for the personal journey that I had, in a visit Stonyhurst College in Lancashire just a week ago.

I shall be there for both days. Infact, I booked to go to London to attend the day 0 event but it turns out Luis isn't planning much of that this time. :P

I see. So I might be seeing you then! : ) And I'm curious: what is this Day 0 all about?

Day 0 is like a pre-event. Generally not made as major as Friday and Saturday events as it isn't quite the weekend then. Some people will be floating around a day before the events officially start, although according to Luis he doesn't want to go overboard on day 0 so all the energy will be saved up for the proper days.

Fair enough. : ) I imagine I'd be knackered by the end of Saturday...
