    Troisnyx's News

    Posted by Troisnyx - June 3rd, 2012

    Um... yay? :D

Well, considering this is my first NAC entry, I'm glad I landed something. Still, I am a bit ticked off by the fact that two people (one being a judge) confused the OBOE SAMPLE for a SAXOPHONE... even Sorohanro and Camoshark got it right!

Oh well, it was all good fun. I bear in mind that the piece was not intended to be submitted in the NAC in the first place. Because it is where it is now, I'm happy. But I'm even happier to have gotten in touch with my deepest feelings for my mother. On that note, her birthday wasn't too long ago, on 30 May. I have made peace with my past, now I pray God that time will heal me. I know she's in good hands now, and I won't take to worry over the events of four years ago. And I'm sure that she can hear my songs even from where she is.

I'm also glad over the fact that this is the first piece that I've been able to mix well, and from there came my much better piece, Capriccio "Bullet Heaven".

I've listened to some of the entries, and I suggest you listen to them too. The tracks I've linked are the winning ones, and I can definitely give a standing ovation to some of them. If I had to give one personal recommendation, it would be Norske's Flight of the Seagulls -- I found that quite the tear-jerker.

And as the credits roll on May's NAC, I begin to wonder if I should take part in June's NAC. A lot is happening right now -- good and bad alike, and I don't know whether I'll be able to make a piece in due time. We'll have to wait and see!

Thanks to all who commented and reviewed and who have supported me to this day.

    Fourth place in the NAC.

With only one month to go before the closure of the Audio and Art sections of the collab, I am glad and grateful for the support it has received to this day. The Audio people were among the first to respond, but soon after, there were people from the Art Portal. Granted, there were people who grilled me on the feasibility of this project too. I find it necessary, and I'm glad and grateful they did what they did. Since this is the first time I'm ever hosting a collaboration of this magnitude, it's only good and right.

I'm looking forward to what will become of this thing. Will it be outside my expectations? Maybe. It might be different from what I envisioned. Or it might be similar, just better than what I expected. Regardless, it only means one thing: we need to work towards a good final result, but not expect it to turn out like anything yet.

Thanks to Matt, HFX, Tom Fulp and everyone who supports this little project of ours.

    THIS.

I didn't even take note until HFX told me all about it. ...Just wow.

    Thank you, Tom Fulp. <3

I'm not addicted to the series, but I still think it's pretty cute. And it's got some good music too! Just so you know, the first Epic Battle Fantasy game was released on 1 May 2009, effectively making the series three years old.

This is only an idea, guys... I want to see what you all think about this.

What if we gathered... I don't know -- remixes, fanart &c. just to pay tribute to the team? We gather all EBF-related stuff, someone throw it all into a neatly-made Flash, and we present it to the team on 31 May. Or 1 June, latest. That's the game plan.

I know there are a lot of similar collabs out there, but hey, collabs are fun. ^_^

    So, thoughts?

More sounds from the Bullet Hell Shooter in progress, with images (for a taster)!

You may recognise some of the tracks from this vid -- I have posted some of them on NG. This is the second taster pack -- the OST is not finished and there are a few more tracks to go, but once it's finished, I won't have to worry about it anymore, hopefully!

    Feedback is appreciated!

This is originally a WAV, and I added a few more parts to it later and saved it as a WAV, and attempted converting this to MP3. Apparently Newgrounds thinks that this is "not a valid MP3 file".

I'm not the only one having upload problems; quite a number of people are...

My Lenten abstinence from Newgrounds was a success!
It's Good Friday today, and Easter is coming soon. I am happy to be back on NG after so long.

Thanks to SirLoineStake and HFX for keeping in touch. It was great! :D

NOW CAN I HAVE SOME MOAR AWESOMENESS PWEEASE.

...after quite a bit of hesitation. My first chat with her was on Monday, and my, she is really nice! ^_^ We talked for hours, sharing audio, sharing thoughts, telling a bit more about ourselves. It's wonderful, speaking with her. I can't help but think once you take the first step and the other person responds, you see that the other person is just as much of a person, with perhaps as many follies and foibles as you. I can't explain it... but... one thing's for sure: speaking one-to-one takes me beyond the surface and leads me deep into the heart of the person. This experience has humbled me a great deal, and I'm absolutely thankful for that.

In case you aren't sure who HFX is, she is the soundtrack writer for all Epic Battle Fantasy games starting from EBF2. I have indeed heard that EBF4 is under way, as well as a little something about her most recent track, Fallen Blood.

I'm just going to hint at a few things being done together, but what they will be, I shan't be telling yet! All I can say is this: "two game projects very dear to us will have just that little bit more input" (and I sound like Waka from Okami). Right now, even though my fingers and my mind are itching to spoil things, I shall not do anything more. Regardless, it's great to have a collaborator!

    --------

Today, I shall be working on a bit more boss artwork for Project Chaplaincy, and if I do have the time, I may perhaps try to handle the rest of the player chibis. Mark is already beginning bullet patterns for the different enemies we've got, and Christo is taking care of the script. I guess the best course of action, for now, is to release that bullet hell shooter and see where it takes us!

Also, for your enjoyment, here's a Muro-drawn Kirby picture.

    I have spoken to HalcyonicFalconX...

That bullet hell shooter in progress? I'm not just the OST writer anymore. I am now also art director.
I'll admit, I took up the artistic work at a time when I wasn't confident about myself, but now I'm going to do my very best!

What you see in that recent artwork I posted is the first batch of enemies which we released, and the only ones we're sharing for now. I'm not sure how we're going to go about this, but I trust we will make it - God willing!

    EDIT 10.02.2012 14:47 GMT : Before I forget, here's a logo, just beacuase.

    An update on Project Chaplaincy
